Frequently Asked Questions

Why does Discord reject my custom emoji upload?

Discord has a strict 256 KB file size limit for static and animated custom emojis. If your image exceeds 256 KB, upload will fail. This tool automatically renders standard 128x128 PNGs that remain well under the 256 KB limit.

Does this Discord Asset Studio preserve transparency?

Yes! All renders are processed as transparent 32-bit PNGs using HTML5 Canvas. Transparent backgrounds won't get replaced with white or black boxes.

Are my graphics uploaded to any external server?

No. 100% of the image cropping, resizing, and compression happens locally inside your browser canvas. Your images and server branding never leave your computer.
