TikTok Shadowban in 2026: Signs, Causes, and Step-by-Step Fix

What is a TikTok Shadowban?

A shadowban occurs when TikTok suppresses your videos from the For You feed without explicit notification due to suspected community guideline infringements, copyright strikes, or spam-like behavior.

How to Diagnose a Shadowban

• Inspect your video analytics: if the For You traffic source drops to 0% while only Profile and Following views register, your account has been temporarily restricted.
• Search for your exact account handle using a non-logged-in browser tab. If your profile is invisible in search, you have a search filter active.

The 7-Day Recovery Plan

1. Delete or set to private any recent videos that received policy strikes or copyright claims.
2. Cease mass follow/unfollow and rapid commenting actions for at least 72 hours.
3. Clear the TikTok application cache within settings.
4. Post 1 original, authentic video recorded natively using the in-app camera to reset account trust metrics.
